Memory Care

There are many factors to consider when trying to find the right assisted living or memory care program for your loved one. Cost is often a significant factor in this process. Be sure to consider the total costs of a residential program. For example, there may be additional fees for a private room, 1:1 support, and other services.

Local placement agencies are available that help search for different living arrangements including independent living, assisted living, or memory care facilities. Financial planners and geriatric care managers (see earlier sections) can also be of great help during this difficult time.

This website does not contain a complete list of all facilities in Central Texas which offer memory care services, as some may close and others may open. Some assisted living facilities offer many of the same services as memory care facilities, but only facilities which promote themselves as offering memory care are listed here. Please do your own research before determining which memory care facility is available and most appropriate for your loved one.

Some facilities offer more than just memory care. Services offered by each site are designated by an I (independent living), A (assisted living), and M (memory care). Some care facilities even have on site skilled nursing and other programs.
