Originally from New Orleans, Mary earned her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at LSUHSC. She has over 9 years of experience working directly with those living with cognitive impairments. Mary has her own therapy consulting company called Your Dementia Therapist where she provides tele-health and in-home visits to address family members’ primary concerns when helping their loved ones who are living with dementia.

John Bertelson, MD FAAN
A native Texan, Dr. Bertelson grew up in South East Asia before returning to Texas to attend Rice University. After graduating Rice with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry, he completed his medical and neurology training at UT Houston, the Mayo Clinic, and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bertelson has medical school faculty appointments at UT Austin and Texas Tech and has cared for Central Texans with cognitive disorders for over 20 years.
